This tutorial will show you some of the various file formats you can come across on this site and how to extract and burn them. Things needed: - Program to extract archive formats eg. WinRar, 7-Zip etc. I recommend 7-Zip you can get it here: - Program to burn files/folders/images eg.
ImgBurn, Nero etc. I recommend ImgBurn you can get it here, just select a download mirror and you're set: DO THIS BEFORE YOU START: Windows 7: Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. After that select the View tab and uncheck the option that says ' Hide extensions for known file types' Windows XP: 1.Open any folder and choose Tools Folder Options.
2.Click the View tab in the Folder Options dialog box. 3.Deselect Hide Extensions For Known File Types. After downloading the files from the site you can come across many different file types File types that need to be extracted for example are (.rar,.7z,.zip,.part files) 1. Sometimes after downloading a file using a download manager it changes the name of the file. For example when I downloaded Wild Arms Alter Code F it was renamed, always ensure you check your files especially the ones that download in parts (like 3 & 4 above)that they are names correctly: -RENAME TO- Now after installing 7-Zip it's time to extract the files to do this: - Right click the file you want to extract (if file is in parts select the part with the lowest number) - Go to 7-Zip then select - Select 'Extract files.' - Choose the location you want to extract the files to and click Ok.
Files will be extracted and be in the folder you chose. Sometimes as with Wild Arms 3 above you may end up with part files again in your folder: When this happens do the following: - Right click the file with lowest number - Go to 7-Zip then select - Select 'Extract Here' After the extraction is complete you should have your image file, you can delete the part files if you want.
Sometimes after extraction you're left with a whole lot of part files like the Grimm Grimoire I have: If this is the case all you need to do is right click the file with the.rar extension and click 'Extract Here' That should leave you with your image file(.iso etc.) and parts files again you can delete the part files if you want. My Dell laptop has no drives and I run 'Realms Of The Haunting' right off of it via PowerISO. Can use up to four virtual CD drives with no problems. This game has four CD discs and I have them all running at one time through PowerISO so I NEVER have to swap discs ever again when I'm playing. Setup how many drives, find the ISO files (can be practically ANY format) and let PowerISO do the rest. This will save you the money of buying a drive, but I strongly suggest a burner just in case you wish to hold onto a game for future play.

Hold down the R button and turn your PSP ON to boot into Recovery Mode.

Go back to Main Menu then Advance Advance Configuration. Enable Plain modules in UMD/ISO. Disable “Execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO”. Go back to main menu and select Exit.

This isn’t really “installing” games this is just how to play iso’s/cso’s on a psp. What i would like to know however is how to install a game for instance when you play Patapon 3 it gives you the option to install it however it doesnt work because the memory-stick is being used as a UMD i think. So i would like to know is it possible to install those kind of downloadable games onto the memory stick so i dont have to keep loading the game up as if its the first time i’m using it?
It gets just a little bit annoying that i have to agree to the EULA terms everytime i load the game up. I seldom create comments, but i did a few searching and wound up here How to Install Games (ISO CSO) on PSP Play ISO CSO files on PSP PSP Hacks.
And I actually do have a few questions for you if it’s allright. Could it be simply me or does it seem like a few of the remarks come across as if they are left by brain dead visitors?
? And, if you are posting at additional places, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Would you make a list of all of all your public sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile? Sorry for the sudden comment, i got a question.
I have a PSP STREET E-1000 I did install a recovery-menue on my PSP and when i run it, there is no option in my advance where i can set something about the EBOOT, just to start the game without showing the “warning” or PSX-sign before. And about the ISO-file: Do i have to create the ISO-folder into the PSP-folder in GAME? Or do i have to create it in the same folder where the PSP-folder is? And I also don’t rly know about the “Plain moduel” or whatever it was called like^^; i’m sry Is there also a way to convert ISO-files from PSP-Games into EBOOT.PBP-files?
